Student Visits

Planning to visit campus? Please don’t hesitate to reach out and let us know! We’d be happy to connect you with a representative from our team who can meet for coffee, show you around, and answer any questions you may have. We’ll do our best to pair you with a sailor who shares similar academic and extracurricular interests. At this time, we are unable to accommodate overnight guests.

Applying to Colby

As a student-run club sport, we are unable to recruit athletes or influence admissions decisions. However, we’re happy to answer any questions prospective students may have about Colby. For high school juniors and seniors, we’ve included a list of important application deadlines below to help you stay on track.

Application Deadlines

  • Early Decision (ED): November 15th

    • ED is a binding agreement, but significantly improves your odds of being accepted to Colby. If Colby is your top choice, we highly suggest you apply ED!

    • Notification Date: by mid-December

  • Early Decision II (ED): January 4th

    • ED II is similar to the first round of Early Decision, but has a later deadline.

    • Notification Date: by mid-February

  • Regular Decision (Non-binding): January 4th

    • Notification Date: on or before April 1st

We would like to acknowledge that while we are excited to engage with prospective students, we are not representatives of admissions and there may be many questions that fall outside the scope of our knowledge. For specific questions regarding the application process or admission to colby, we encourage you to reach out to the department of admissions directly.
